Now a little about us ...

We weren’t looking for a home based business. As a matter of fact, you could say that we were living the American dream (the 20th century version anyway) with both of us working full-time jobs and raising four children in a blended family. We were doing pretty well. We had good income (close to six figures) and we really weren’t interested in changing the way we looked at life –- to be honest, we really were satisfied with what we had. We always thought we could do more, because we both had a lot of talent and support that we had given freely to our friends.

As a result of that, one of our friends came to us when he thought he had found something fantastic and didn’t want us to miss the boat.  I was skeptical, since I'd had a few encounters with mlm and network marketing before. I was involved with Amway and a company called Excel in the past, and I put some effort into them but found that approaching people wasn’t really my bag. I could talk to people, and my passion showed them that I was sincere, but it never really went anywhere. I never got a check with those businesses. So when my friend Jim came to me and asked about checking out a new business, I was not jumping into anything. No matter how good it sounded!

Then I started checking out the company and the people we would be working with. Every company out there will tell you how great they are, and how easy it can be to make money. "Leverage is the key, and you will only have to get a few people involved and then help them to do the same thing."

It’s all the same message with a lot of these companies. I really think you can make a ton of money with this stuff, but the real difference is having a product you truly believe in, and people who will help you to promote and market AND MAKE THE MARKETING AND PROMOTION FIT YOUR STYLE. 

That last part is really important.

Anyway, back to the start of this story. My friend Jim told me about this, and I really respect his opinion on business. If he said the business model was solid, I knew it was. The trouble was that we had lots of experience with physical fitness, nutritional supplements, and bodybuilding. The product had to live up to the business model and the expectations. What could we do to research that?

It helped that the supplements were evaluated by an impartial third party and were found to be the top-rated stuff in North America. That definitely helped the case.

The final piece was a testimonial from our friend Jeremy, who is internationally known in the fitness industry. (If you need more info on him, drop us a line; we can back all this up.) He was and still is involved with the company and told us he thought the product was the best he had found in years of searching and research.
